    S20/S22 Eco-Friendly Oil Immersed Transformer

    Transformer is a device that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to change AC voltage. Its main components are primary coil, secondary coil and iron core (magnetic core). Its main functions include voltage conversion, current conversion, impedance conversion, isolation, voltage stabilization (magnetic saturation transformer), etc. Classification by insulation and cooling method. Transformers can be divided into oil-immersed, dry-type and gas-insulated types according to insulation and cooling methods. Among them, oil-immersed transformers include oil-immersed self-cooling type, oil-immersed air-cooling type, oil-immersed water-cooling type and forced oil circulation cooling type. Oil-immersed Power Transformers have been widely used because of their advantages of good heat dissipation, low loss, large capacity and low price.

    Oil-immersed Transformer structure

    1. The iron core is the magnetic circuit part of the transformer. In order to reduce the hysteresis and eddy current loss in the iron core, the iron core is stacked with 0.35mm to 0.5mm thick silicon steel sheets, and the surface of the silicon steel sheets is coated with insulating paint or the surface oxide film is used to insulate the sheets from each other. According to the arrangement of the winding in the iron core, there are iron core type and iron shell type. The upright part of the iron core of the three-phase transformer is called the iron core column, on which the low-voltage winding and high-voltage winding of the transformer are mounted; the horizontal part is called the iron yoke, which is used to form a closed magnetic circuit.

    2. The winding is also called the coil, which is the circuit part of the transformer and is divided into two types of windings: primary and secondary. Among them, the winding connected to the power supply is called the primary winding, and the winding connected to the load is called the secondary winding. Both the primary and secondary windings are wound with copper wire or aluminum wire wrapped with high-strength insulation.

    3. The oil tank is the outer shell of the transformer, in which the iron core and winding are installed and filled with transformer oil. For transformers with relatively large capacity, heat sinks or heat pipes are installed outside the oil tank. Oil leakage is a common problem of oil tanks.

    4. The oil conservator, commonly known as the oil pillow, is a cylindrical container placed horizontally above the oil tank and connected to the oil tank of the transformer with a pipe. The volume of the oil conservator is generally about 10% of the volume of the oil tank. The oil conservator is a capsule-type oil conservator, and the capsule isolates the oil in the oil conservator from the outside air. When the transformer oil expands due to heat, the oil flows from the oil tank to the oil conservator; when the transformer oil shrinks due to cold, the oil flows from the oil conservator to the oil tank. The oil conservator has two functions: First, when the volume of the transformer oil expands or shrinks with the change of oil temperature, the oil conservator plays the role of storing and replenishing oil to ensure that the oil tank is full of oil and the iron core and winding are immersed in oil; second, it can reduce the contact area between the oil surface and the air to prevent the transformer oil from getting damp and deteriorating.

    Technical features

    The core is made of high-quality cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets, with a multi-stage step-type full-bevel joint structure. The core column is tied with F-grade non-weft adhesive tape. The core surface is sealed with insulating resin paint to prevent moisture and rust, reducing no-load loss, no-load current and core noise. The clamps and fasteners are specially surface treated to further improve the appearance quality of the product.

    The product is an outdoor structure with a high anti-fouling level and good heat dissipation. There is no need to replace the transformer oil during normal use, which is truly maintenance-free and ensures the safe operation and reliability of the power grid.

    The transformer is equipped with a pressure release safety protection device. When the transformer fails and the pressure is too high, it can be released reliably and safely through the pressure release valve to prevent the expansion of the accident.

    Widely used in power plants, power grids, petrochemicals, metallurgy, industrial and mining enterprises, urban infrastructure, such as airports, subways, docks and residential areas.
