SC(B)11 Dry Type Transformer

A dry-type transformer is a Power Transformer that does not use liquid insulating media (such as transformer oil). It mainly relies on solid insulating materials (such as epoxy resin, insulating cardboard, etc.) and air cooling to achieve insulation and heat dissipation functions. Since epoxy resin is a flame-retardant, flame-retardant, self-extinguishing solid insulating material, it is safe and clean. Therefore, epoxy resin cast dry-type transformers are widely used because they are oil-free, flame-retardant, have low operating losses, and have outstanding disaster prevention capabilities. Compared with oil-type transformers, dry-type transformers do not have oil, so there are no problems such as fire, explosion, and pollution. Losses and noise have been reduced to a new level, and the transformer and low-voltage panel are placed in the same distribution room to create conditions.

1. The insulating materials used in dry-type transformers (such as epoxy resin, insulating cardboard, etc.) are all flame-retardant materials with good fire resistance. During operation, even if a transformer fails and causes a fire, or there is an external fire source, these flame-retardant materials will not expand the fire disaster.

2. Dry-type transformers do not use liquid insulating media, so there is no problem of oil leakage. This not only reduces the risk of environmental pollution, but also avoids equipment damage and fire hazards caused by oil leakage. In addition, the insulation material has a longer service life under normal use conditions.

3. The operation, maintenance and overhaul workload of dry-type transformers is relatively small, which can effectively reduce maintenance costs.

4. Dry-type transformers can be installed in the same room as the switch cabinet, thereby reducing the installation area. This compact installation method is particularly suitable for places with limited space.
